Discovering Purchasing for Newcomers

The Certification for Newcomers (Level 1) prepares participants to take in charge a purchasing portfolio.

The training covers the fundamentals of the purchasing function,such as understanding the purchasing process, analysis of a portfolio, segmentation, understanding how to apply the best practices and building a purchasing strategy.

The Certification programme “Discovering Purchasing” targets newcomers to the Purchasing function, internal stakeholders who want to better understand the Purchasing function, or to a Sales force looking to improve its effectiveness by understanding its Clients purchasing practices

WHAT?
This programme is delivered in 2 steps only in a Full digital mode. The EIPM pedagogy ensures a successful transition from residential training to distance learning, by taking advantage of new technologies. - 1st step: Self-learning that allows Participants to learn all about the Theory with e-Learning modules, videos, readings, cases - 2nd Step: Virtual classes for the cohort with a trainer are usually at the end of the self-learning week. Virtual classes permit the trainer to validate all participants understood the theoretical concepts, participants will practice theory & tools on cases and simulations.

The EIPM online pedagogy permits to bring a state-of-the-art content, a team spirit in each cohort, the development of the participants know-how and know-how-to-be to show in a personal operational assignment.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES
The Certification programme “Discovering Purchasing” focuses on the mandatory foundation concepts of processes, tools and practices, when entering in Purchasing.
The programme gives Participants basic knowledge on processes, tools and practices, to build on further learning contents when progressing in the profession.

Buying for Performance for Professional Buyers
The Certification programme “Buying for Performance” (level 2) aims at understanding the process, essential tools and practices contributing to the search for immediate performance for the Business.
This programme permits professionals to be familiar with elements of contracts, costs, finance and negotiation, to be entirely autonomous at handling a portfolio of non-strategic product & services.

The Certification programme “Delivering Purchasing Excellence” (Level 3) focuses on achieving excellence through a flexible and business minded approach to category management.

Leading Purchasing Transformation for Managers
The Certification programme “Leading Purchasing Transformation” (Level 4) focuses on management and leadership capabilities, organisational aspects of purchasing as well as leading edge practices.
Strategy definition, organisation and team management are amongst the management issues covered in the programme. Leadership subjects include leadership styles, change management and communication.
